Thomas K. MullinsThomas K. Mullins is one of the five founding members of Gass Weber Mullins. Mr. Mullins’ primary areas of practice include personal injury, professional and products liability, and insurance bad faith liability. Mr. Mullins earned his bachelor degree of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1984) and his law degree cum laude from Marquette University (1989), where he was a member of Law Review and Alpha Sigma Nu. He was a King Scholar and earned the Luce Book Award, as well as several American Jurisprudence Awards. Mr. Mullins is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court, Nebraska, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh and Eighth Circuits. Mr. Mullins has tried complicated coverage and bad faith cases in state and federal courts within and outside the State of Wisconsin. He was lead coverage counsel on Rich Products v. Zurich American Ins. Co., 293 F.3d 981 (7th Cir. 2002), a significant decision for insurers on the application of the direct action statute. He was lead trial counsel on Welfi v. Northland Ins. Co., 192 F.3d 1169 (8th Cir. 1999), a multi-million dollar coverage and bad faith jury trial that resulted in judgment in favor of the insurer. In addition to extensive civil jury trials, Mr. Mullins has tried approximately 40 worker’s compensation administrative matters. Mr. Mullins currently is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin (Board of Attorney Professional Responsibility Study Committee, 1996-1998), Milwaukee Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Mullins has been recognized by his peers through selection to Best Lawyers in America and Wisconsin Super Lawyers. |
