Mr. Carter’s practice consists of a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, environmental and toxic tort claims, products liability, personal injury, and professional malpractice. Mr. Carter is admitted to practice in the States of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey, and the Federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Prior to joining Gass Weber Mullins, Mr. Carter practiced with the law firm of Manko, Gold, Katcher, and Fox, LLP, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he represented clients in environmental and commercial litigation before federal and state trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Carter also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia.
Mr. Carter obtained his Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Chicago and was awarded membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. At Penn Law, he was an editor of the Law Review and a Levy Scholar, and he was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif and received prizes for the highest grades in contract and criminal law.
